We are so lucky at Seawall Apartments to be located right on the beautiful Esplanade at Glenelg Beach, Adelaide’s favourite beach! Only 500 metres south of the iconic Glenelg Jetty and Moseley Square.
Here are a few of our favourite things to do in Glenelg and the city of Adelaide. We are more than happy to share our favourite spots and point you in the right direction.
Memories are made at The Bay!
1 minute walk
Glenelg, Adelaide’s favourite beach, is a clean and safe family friendly beach, located right in front of Seawall Apartments!
We are very spoilt having such a beautiful beach on our doorstep. With only a walking/cycling track on the Esplanade separating Seawall from the beach, it is perfect for families and people who love to exercise or just sit watching the world go by.
Stunning golden sunsets close the day over the beach and it is usually daily we see dolphins cruising by. Nature at its finest.
Glenelg also boasts a fantastic jetty which you can fish from. Holdfast Bay, located north of the jetty, boasts a gorgeous marina where dolphin and boat cruises launch from.
All of this only a half an hour from the city of Adelaide!
Jetty Road - Glenelg
5 minute walk
Jetty Road, Glenelg is a food lover’s paradise. From cosmopolitan cafes, restaurants and fine dining, there is something for everyone at anytime of the day. Seafood, Thai, Noodle Bars, Japanese, Indonesian, Indian and many more! There are plenty of ice-creameries to choose from too, just follow your nose and you will pick up the tantalizing waffle cone scent!
Jetty Road is also fabulous fun for shoppers - with boutiques and lifestyle stores, you can pick up something to update your wardrobe, or even something to freshen up your home decor. There are many super markets and fresh food vendors. Everything you need is on our doorstep!

Segway Sensations SA - Glenelg Beach
Segway Sensations SA have a Glenelg Beach tour, which is an exciting way to see the sights for people of all ages!
During the hour long tour they'll teach you to ride the All Terrain Segways on the grass of Wigley Reserve and then you'll glide expertly past the beautful sights and surrounds of Glenelg.
The 6km trail takes you past the Glenelg Beach foreshore, Mosley Square, Glenelg Jetty, Patawalonga Creek, Boat Docks and Boat Marina.
Segway Sensations also offer tours through Seppeltsfield Winery and the Adelaide Riverbank in the City.
- Amusement park
Packed with Australian-first and world class attractions, The Beachouse is the perfect destination for a fun-filled day out for big and little kids.
Rain, hail or shine, this popular attraction brings the outdoors inside!
You’ll find amusement games and rides along with an indoor waterslide and a merry-go-round, you and the kids will be entertained for hours.
On the Esplanade in front of the complex, you will also find a brilliant playground with all sorts of fun to be had.
Bay Discovery Centre
The Bay Discovery Centre is a museum that celebrates to cultural heritage of South Australia, and is a great spot for art and history enthuisasts as well as families with kids.
Permanent displays include an evolution of swimwear from the 1930s - 1960s, the history of Glenelg's beachside attractions, and more!
Entry cost is just a gold coin donation.
The Temptation is a large sailing catamaran, perfect for cruising along the Glenelg foreshore.
They offer several cruise options during the day as well as a Twilight cruise where you can watch the sun set with drinks and nibbles. You can also book a private charter, perfect for a special event.
Temptation also offer a Dolphin Cruise, where you can meet and swim with the friendly local dolphins! They are South Australia's only licensed dolphin swim.
Hahndorf - Adelaide Hills
The Adelaide Hills are a beautiful part of Adelaide and an easy drive from Glenelg. Visitors are drawn to the quaint old town of Hahndorf, an old German settlement, full of old world charm.
Visitors can stroll down the main street main street, abundant with one of a kind shopping and a vast array of eateries and cafes. Visit Beerenberg Farm for strawberry picking, or head to The Lane Vineyard to taste their delicious regional wines or dine in their prize winning restaurant.
Adelaide Central Market
For food lovers, the Adelaide Central Market in the city centre is a must see!
The largest undercover food market in the Southern Hemisphere, the market showcases a fantastic range of South Australian produce.
Perfect for a quick bite to eat in an exciting atmosphere, or even a spot of shopping to cook up a local feast back at your apartment.
Cleland Wildlife Park
Take a walk on the wild side and immerse yourself in a land full of wonderous Australian animals. At Cleland Wildlife Park, you can get up close and personal with kangaroos, snuggle a koala or even hold a snake if you're brave enough!
This park makes a wonderful day trip and is perfect for those wanting a touch of the true spirit of Australia.
McLaren Vale Wine Region
30 minute drive
Just a 30 minute drive away, you will find the stunning McLaren Vale wine region.
Home to a vast array of vineyards and cellar doors, grown in a sustainable manner, this region is perfect for those seeking a gourmet experience. The culinary offerings are second to none, with world-class resturants speckled around the region.
With a Mediterranean climate, the beaches are also calling, with our favourites such as Port Willunga and Aldinga Beach just a stone's throw away from the rolling green hills.
