No Sea View, No Problem - Seawall's Secret Courtyard
Here at Seawall Apartments, not all of our offerings are based on the seafront, but with 22 unique apartments, each of them has their own charm. Some of our best apartments can be tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the Esplanade.
Travel through the twisting turns behind Seawall’s main building and you will pass under a vine covered archway that leads you into a large, bright courtyard. This communal space is the perfect place to escape the crowds. A place of peace and quiet where you can enjoy the warm afternoon sun and stay out of any winds that may whip up on the seafront.
Our sunny courtyard is equipped with everything you need to whittle away your free time. With a selection of outdoor tables and benches, as well as huge shady umbrellas, this is the perfect spot for a relaxing read, or a sneaky wine before heading out to Jetty Road for your evening. Or, if you prefer to stay in, fire up the courtyard BBQ and get some sausages sizzling.
While the idea of communal may scare some people off, there are only four apartment that open on to this space, giving it a more community feel, rather than a public square!
The Courtyard is home to:
- The Chapel - a funky split level one bedroom apartment with its own spiral staircase
- The Stables - which used to be a stable servicing the local school, but now a fantastic 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment.
- The Fisherman’s Cottage - one of the oldest buildings in Glenelg that was actually used for fisherman
- The Courtyard - a spacious ground floor one bedroom, perfect for older couples seeking peace and quiet.
So if you are lucky enough to secure one of these apartments, rest easy that even without a sea view, you will still be surrounded by sunshine, salty air and quirky seaside touches.
