The Best Brunch Bites in Glenelg

It is now considered common knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But many people feel that this only applies to the weekday grind. When the weekend rolls around, or you slip into holiday mode, it is the not-so-humble brunch that reigns as king (or queen).

Here at Seawall, we are lucky enough to be located just 500m away from the thriving Jetty Road, home to an assortment of cafes, boutiques and restaurants. Below are three of our favourite places for brunch:

Grindit

  • Grind It Espresso – located just off the main drag on Moseley Street, this is café’s menu is HUGE!!! Expect favourites such as bircher muesli and the eggs benedict or something  decadent such as the Chilli Brioche (fluffy eggs with chilli jam, served in a buttery toasted brioche with sliced salami).
  • Pure Café – Pure by name and by nature, this Jetty Road café is not only delicious, but nutritious as well. Known for their fresh pressed juices and health inspired breakfasts such as the coconut and raspberry quinoa pudding. Get in early, as this place gets busy!
  • Zest Café – With a pretty pergola to sit under and located on Sussex Street, this café is perfect for people watching. The blueberry bagels with a thick schmear of cream cheese are to die for or try the Hell’s Eggs if you need a chilli hit or brunch pick me up.

So start your day right and take delight in a hearty brunch by the sea.
